Fusing Adds and Shifts for Efficient Dot Products

Published in IEEE Computer Architecture Letters, 2026

FASED (Fusing Adds and Shifts for Efficient Dot Products) proposes a method to improve the efficiency of dot product computations in hardware by fusing addition and shift operations. This approach targets the computational bottleneck of dot products in neural network inference and other workloads.
